Rooted in Practice, Branching into the World

A living, participatory space for spiritual practice, local community, and environmental flourishing.

We offer community-organized group and solo retreats that integrate meditation and regenerative engagement with the ecological and other crises.

Meditation, in Tibetan, gom, means to become familiar with the mind. We become familiar with our living experience as the ground for whole-living.

Community is the interdependent people, plants, and animals that together create our local sense of belonging and connection in Aotearoa. Community provides encouragement, norms, and a collective home for wholesome values and ways of seeing. It invites active participation and creation by all members.

Engagement is becoming involved with the world in ways that reduce collective suffering and cultivate the contexts within which all beings can have whole and beneficial lives.
